Some truth about “halloween”

Some truth about halloween

halloween origins, also known as all hallow’s eve.

The halloween“holiday” has its wicked roots in the ancient Celtic festival of samhain (a Gaelic word pronounced “SAH-win”), a pagan religious celebration to welcome the harvest at the end of summer and beginning of a new year, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts, these traditions were incorporated into “halloween ”.

True covenanted people to Yahueh the Father through His son Yahushua in renewed covenant should not mingle with the things the world does, even more so something as obviously wicked as halloween is with all the vile stuff that goes along with it.

The samhain festival begins at sunset on October 31 and ends at sunset on November 1st.

It also marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. The celebration of the festival falls midpoint between the fall equinox and the winter solstice.

The Celts believed that the veil between the living and the dead was thinnest during samhain , allowing spirits to roam the earth.

The Druids believed that  samhain released the souls of the dead, who would roam the city and haunt homes.

People would leave out food to appease the spirits and departed ancestors.

People would darken their faces with ashes or wear animal heads and skins to ward off spirits.

The carving of pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns may have originated from the Druid belief that the carved-out turnip with a glowing ember inside was carried by a damned soul named Jack. Rooted in Irish folklore as “stingy jack” who tricked the devil, people originally carved scary faces into turnips, beets, or potatoes to ward off stray spirits, it is believed Scottish immigrants brought the custom to North America and it switched to native pumpkins.

In the 8th century, pope Gregory lll designated November 1st as “all saints day” which incorporated some of the traditions of samhain. Though the day was documented to honor christian saints and martyrs. The customs of “halloween ” are a combination of Irish, Scottish, and British folk customs.

“Trick or treating” evolved from medieval  european “souling” where poor people went door to door offering prayers for the dead in exchange for small sweet bread called “soul cakes”

The day of “halloween” is the second highest “holy” day for a satanist being second to the satanists day of birth being the highest day they celebrate. The scriptures shoot down the concept of the celebrating  days of birth so we do not celebrate our days of birth either, but that is a subject for another article in the future.
